Studio Bauta was established in Stockholm in 2020 by Fredrik Ehn with the main purpose of creating wearable pieces where sensory experience is central to the design. 



The pieces are all individually handmade from carefully sourced materials such as Italian leather, crystals, stainless steel and hand-sculpted tin. The brand is characterized by classic shapes heavily exaggerated, and rooted in animalistic and natural forms. 

Details such as reflections, shadows and the weight and texture of materials are all elements of the fine craftsmanship that make up the brand experience.

The concept is about fine-tuning elegance and rawness and making it adaptable to elegant evening wear as well as to a fashion-conscious street punk style.



The studio strives to inspire personal expression and to celebrate unconventional pathways of life. Studio Bauta believes that gender is inconsequential and in the freedom to challenge normative ideas.

Featured at

Studio Bauta pieces have been featured in various, large-scale events and TV appearances such as Paris and Milan fashion weeks, the Swedish movie awards Guldbaggen and the Elle Gala. Bags and jewelry have been worn by several highly regarded style icons including American drag queen and model Aquaria, singer Agnes and Swedish tv personality Katia Mosally.

PRODUCTS

The pieces are all individually handmade and every piece is therefore totally unique. Materials such as hand-sculpted tin, crystals and pearls have variations in shape and color. Leather goods are made from fine Italian leather. All leathers are vegetable-tanned and have natural marks, visible fibers and creases which give every accessory made, a quality of uniqueness. Edges are treated with care in different steps to create a luxurious and durable edge finish.
